Miniature Creations!!

Think of Anything you can create.. can you imagine it smaller? Smaller? SMALLER?? I think the smaller something is, The Cuter!!

Try this: Imagine a paper crane.. that’s really amazing!! Now what if it could fit on a penny?? WOW!

Elli and I got SO inspired by the world of Miniature Crafting we wanted to make a demo to inspire you too!!

Check out the Full Video here:

Elli took a recycled mint tin and transformed it into a Craft Room!! Complete with a painting, a book of art ideas, paintbrushes and pencils, drawers, labeled art supplies, and even a little water cup full of blue shimmer paper!

It’s so special and small, it inspires me to make my own!

Let’s break down how she made such a cute miniature world!

One of the first things that catches my eye is the “Make Art, Not Mischief” sign! It’s held on the shelf by a tiny clasp of Silver MirriCard!

By winding a bit of twine around a bobbin, snipping off the smallest amount, and gluing it to the sign- this simple and sweet sign is made!

I wonder what phrase you’ll have hanging in your miniature world~

What art studio is complete without pencils and brushes??

Using toothpicks cut in half, Elli created some Tiny Tools!

The pencils were painted yellow and had a tiiiny pink bit attatched at the end to make an eraser. One of these pencils Really needs to be sharpened!

The brushes used the same toothpicks, just a bit of the twine from earlier, and a bit of silver paper!

Look how precious the paint brush is next to the mini watercolor palette! By painting the very tip of the brush blue it looks like you’re mid-project!!

The palette was made by fussy cutting a curved crescent shape, adding a hole in the center, and painting rainbow swatches across the border! It looks just like the real thing!

Can you imagine this tiny brush and paints being used to make this moonlight tree painting??

I love the idea of these mini tools being used to create something within its own tiny world!

Can’t forget about cleanup!!

These miniature broomsticks were made from wooden dowels, twine, and glue! The broom on the right also has a strip of silver MirriCard to act as a metal belt on the bristles, what a cute look!

I’ll bet these could be so cute for a witches scene, or use white yarn to make a mop??

What else around your home do you think you could make miniature?

Any container could be transformed! This was a simple jewelry box that Elli transformed to be another art room!

By hot gluing cardstock to act as shelves, this little box can fit so many cute, tiny treasures!

Around Art & Happiness are many hidden miniature Fairy Doors!! Here are a few of them to spark inspiration in you!!

Which scene is your favorite? Mine is the forest Happy Place with the bug books!! Elli says her favorite is the Moths and Happiness Bell!!

There are endless ideas when it comes to making miniature fun! Look around your home, your favorite places, the things that bring you the most happiness- what would they look like super small? What kinds of materials could you use?

If you have any questions or want to share your ideas we are here for you!
