Mushroom Card Craft — Art & Happiness

This week’s Make-and-Take craft is so MUSH fun!!

Let’s create a Mushroom Card with Snails and joy!!

What a FUNgi card!! There are so many different kinds of mushrooms you could make, so many snails you could add!

This Mushroom garden can be anything you dream!

Let’s start by setting up the card to create on!

Taking a card base, a inner-card leaf, and a little banner for our statement, we’ll make a great base to play with!

You can stamp a fun sentiment on the banner if you’d like!

“You’re a fungi” is my favorite for the front of this!

More stamps!

“You’re a fungi”, “morel support” and even “Snail you later'“ are such perfect statements for this card!

And of course we have Snail Stamps!! You can stamp these directly on to your card as well as cutting them out of another paper!

Let’s make some mushrooms!

To get that inky-cap looking mushroom, trace these ghostly looking stencils out of a lighter color paper and buff in black ink around the edges!

I love the look of these drippy mushrooms!

Have you seen a morel mushroom? They have a lot of texture and crinkles to them!

To get this effect, cut out a mushroom top and crinkle it up! Then lightly add ink on top, it will catch on the wrinkles and give you that texture effect!

Time for the most classic mushroom- the red caps!!

Simply trace around the templates and cut out a red mushroom cap, adorn it with white spots!

You can add extra texture by layering this mesh ribbon on top of the stem, under the cap! That gives it those amazing frills!

Time to build your garden!!

Add in snails, bugs, mushrooms! You can use green mesh ribbon to create the look of grass on the mushroom forest floor! Try layering your grass and mushrooms for more depth to the scene!

On the inside of the card you can add snails, mushrooms, and any sentiment you love!
