Ice Cream Card Craft — Art & Happiness

Ice Cream, you scream, we all scream for Ice cream!! Let’s make a card about it!!

This week’s Make-and-Take craft is all about Ice Cream!! And you can have as many scoops as you’d like! Just make sure to share with your mouse friend!!

Follow along in the pictures below:

Let’s start by making our card base!

We’ll take a tiny hole punch and punch out some holes!

Add a back layer of text weight paper to the inside of the card! When you look through it will look like sprinkles!!

Now we can choose our flavors of ice cream! For every color you can have so many flavors!

How many scoops will be on the front of your card?

3 scoops of Grape? One scoop of lemon and one of strawberry? Maybe you’ll come up with brand new flavors!

Whatever flavors you choose, let’s make sure to add a cherry on top! Use a bit of double sided tape before you pop out a circle to stick it down with a stem!

We need a cone for our ice cream!!

Trim a bit of paper to create a triangle, perfect for our ice cream cone!

Use a bit of Distress Ink “walnut stain” to give your come some color! You can draw on hatch marks if you’d like it to be a waffle cone!!

Let’s build our ice cream cone!! Since you’ve chosen the flavors you like best, we’ll stack them up on the cone and add our cherry!

I like to add white highlights to the ice cream to show how melty it is!! A drip of the bottom scoop really shows you how hot it is outside! Perfect for a cold treat!

“Have the Sweetest Day Ever!” Is the perfect sentiment for this card!! Let’s stamp it in rainbow ink!!

Let’s create on the inside of the card!

This little ice cream mouse is SO CUTE!! They’re “So Chill” and “Cool”!! You can add a bit of chip board beneath for them to walk, roll, and play on while they wait for their very own ice cream cone!!

This mouse has asked for As Many Scoops As Possible!!

So let’s layer up scoops starting from the teeny tiny cone all the way to the top of the card!!
