Welcome to this weeks Make and Take Craft!!
Are your bookshelves missing a certain ~Magical~ quality? Perhaps the tiny Fairy House under your stairs needs some more literature!
Let’s create a Mini Bookshelf together!
Follow along in the video below:
First, let’s choose what size bookshelf you’d like! Thin to thick, long or short, whichever suits you best!
Then, choose what color suede paper will be the cloth to cover your shelf!
I’ll choose this hazelnut color for my shelf!! Use a bit of glue and trim to fit.
A little potion bottle is one of the most important features of a Magical Bookshelf!!
We have a Whole Collection of Wishes for you to fill a bottle with!
You could also put anything else in your vials- a feather, a gemstone, a dream!
I’ll put a little blue butterfly in mine!
I love adding extra fun additions to my shelf, too!
Fairy stones, diamonds, scrolls, and trinkets!
Whatever makes you happy is perfect for your shelf!
I created a mini-bug net to sit beside the butterfly in a vial, as well as sat a few wish strands on top of a fairy stone!
Let’s make a book for our shelf!!
Choose a cover that you like! Trim it to the size you’d like your book to be. Fold either side with a bit of excess, this will create room for the spine of the book!
Then, we’ll make some pages for the inside. Fold paper to fit the size of your book and fold 3 sets of pages.
A bit of hot glue will secure these pages inside your booklet!!
You can make as many books as your shelf needs!
Short books, tall books, spell books, and notebooks!
You could write in some of them, have books you’re able to pull out, fake books with treasures inside!
