Hi Crafty Friends!
Welcome to this week’s Make-n-Take craft! We’re creating something full of Magic and Sparkles and Joy!
Follow along to create.. A Magical Wand!
This craft is nice and simple- which makes it SO fun to get creative with and decorate it to your delight!
We’ll start with a plain wooden skewer, stick that in a jar of rocks to prop it up!
Drip hot glue down the sides of it, creating as many layers as you would like!
Brush some silver mica powder on the drips to add a metallic magical look. Do this step once the drips are all dry.
Want some glitter, sprinkles, and general sparkly goodness? Add a few more drips of glue and before it’s completely dry, add some of this Super Magical Sparkle Mixture to it!!
Now to choose the colors of your wand! This paper has gold hot foil speckles all over it and comes in so many colors!!
Choose two big stars for the top and then some smaller stars for the center!
What colors are your favorite?
The paper scraps are saved of course, for punching out smaller stars and circles!! These will be fun to add to the tails of the wand.
Now for Ribbons!!!
We have so many textures and colors of ribbons for you to choose from!
My favorite is the wax coated thread, when you twirl it around a skewer it will hold its shape!
Choose some ribbons that suit the stars you picked out! You could grab a variety of lengths for some fun layering!
When you glue it all together, start with the ribbons at the top of the skewer and arrange them how you’d like!
Take your big paper stars and smush them together with the ribbons in between!
Now to add more stars to the front! You could add just one, or even two!
Add some circles and tiny stars to the ribbons too! How fun!
Wow!! You’ve made your very own Magical Wand!!
What spells will you cast?
Does your want make flowers grow? Can it change the color of the sky? Maybe your wand shoots sprinkles and glitter?!
Thanks for creating something full of joy and magic!!
See you next time for another fun craft!!
