Art with Circles!!
Hello friends!! Welcome to this week’s Demo Blog!! This week I wanted to show you some fun ideas using CIRCLES in your art and card making creations!! Check out the Video Demo below:
I had SO MUCH FUN coming up with all sorts of fun ideas to share with you!!
The first idea uses just a sheet of paper with several circles cut out of it. This makes for a quick and easy project and is actually kind of fun!! I used my hole punches as well as a couple sizes of circle dies. I have the circles on the right and on the left is the reverse piece with the circles cut out!
For this next idea, I doodled all over the front of this white piece of paper. Then I mounted it onto a green card base and used an 1/8” hole punch to punch out the centers of some of the holes! THEN I backed the paper with Green Mirri Card paper to really get the iridescent paper to shine through the little hole punches!! I like how this card is a little more artsy and it’s actually kind of fun to just doodle!!
Check out this idea using only Yellow or Ochre colors for the front of this card base!! I wanted something that you could leave as is OR add in your own doodle variations!! I love this idea and I am so pleased with how it came together!!
I loved this idea using mono-chrome greens to create a fun circle background. To create the card, I laid a vellum circle in the very front and used the leaf die cut as the focal point. I finished off the card by adding a bit of green twine and a sentiment, “Sending Hugs” for the inside of the card. I LOVE all these beautiful greens together!!
I also loved this idea using 3 white circles to then make mini works of art on!! Such a great way to make your mini-watercolor creations come to life WHILE ALSO telling a little mini story!! The idea of a circle triptych gives you SO MANY possibilities!!
Thank you all for joining me for this week’s Demo Blog!!
