Quick Mini Books!
This week we are exploring a few ideas to make your own Mini Book, quick and easy! Gather your favorite papers and create along with us!
Check out the full video below:
First, this super simple and fun book is a Watercolor Mini Book!!
I love that this simple book uses such fun shapes!! Even the hinges are circles! I love that this book is both a creative shape and a place to brew new art!
I wonder what other fun shapes you could use to make a book like this? Hearts? Stars??
Want to make a book without using glue? Try this Rubberband Book!
Thick rubber bands hold the paper in place, meaning you can add or replace any pages at any time!
You could really use any cover paper, signature paper, AND any color rubber bands!! What an easy way to use and re-use a book!
This accordion-style book is a simple and fun way to use your favorite images!! Each page has a unique image pasted inside! You could use any of your favorite pictures, themes, and paper!!v
Want to make the ribbon tie?
Take a length of ribbon and fold it at its halfway mark across the folded book. Make sure there is enough length to tie! Grab an image to be the cover of your book and adhere it OVER the ribbon to lock it in place!
Here is a quick book that uses Hot Glue to bind the pages to the spine!
You’ll have to work quickly to make sure each page fully adheres before the hot glue sets. Once your pages are connected you have a perfect little book!
Try using glitter gluesticks to highlight the seam and add something extra fun!
Here’s a bigger Accordion Book that only takes a few minutes to make!
This book has a hard front and back cover which lets it stand open! Each page, front and back, can be enjoyed. You can use any pattern paper and even embellish the inner pages with accents!
What a wonderful and easy way to make a new scrapbook, photo album, or journal!
Okay this is probably my Favorite book we have made today!!
The cover page has an acetate window looking on to a Rainbow Jar of Stars! And what is extra amazing is the left-over paper from the diecut is reused to make the back cover extra magical too!
Distress Oxide Spray Inks are spritzed on to create a splattered rainbow effect! This is such a fun way to make a new art journal!!
I hope you are inspired to make your very own Quick and Easy Miniature Book!! We’ve covered how to make the tiniest watercolor books, accordion books of so many sizes, and very colorful books!
Take a few of these ideas and make your own new book, ready to be a gift or a place for your thoughts!
See you next time my friends!
