Nurses Bag Craft — Art & Happiness

Hello and welcome to this weeks Make and Take Craft!!

We are inspired by Nurses and their bag of healing! Let’s create a Nurses Bag out of paper and love!

We appreciate all the hard work Nurses and medical professionals do! Do you have a medical professional in your life that you love and appreciate? Perhaps a nurse that helped you through a difficult time? Perhaps you just like to play pretend hospital and want to create something to play with!!

Let’s create something fun to brighten their day and have some fun crafting play!

We’ll start by creating the bag itself by tracing the template on to a folded piece of cardstock, making sure to keep the folded seam intact!

We’ll also glue little pockets on the inside of the bag to hold our tools!

Then, grab our ribbon for the handles and fold and glue beneath a strip of paper to keep them secure!

Let’s make some band-aids!!

Our of kraft tone cardstock we’ll trace our template for a band-aid shape!

Use a square of double-sided tape to make the center of the band-aid!

Then draw on the outline and texture of the band-aids!! Make as many as you’ll need for any ouchies!

Now for the most exciting part- the stethoscope!

We’ll fold a piece of black cardstock and trace a heart shape, inside and out!

Cut the the very center of the heart’s top off to create the ear buds!

Attach double-sided tape to a slip of black paper to pop out circles to connect the ribbon, as well as silver circles to create the ear buds!

One larger black circle and another silver circle will create the listening bell!

Now to create the last item of our bag- a syringe of magical healing potion!!

You can choose any color you’d like! I’ll go with yellow since it’s the happiest color!

Attach the black base to the stem and add on the silver body and embellishments! Lastly the color of your liquid! Draw on measuring marks and feel free to add bubbles or hearts!

Now your bag is full of supplies for helping people!
