Hello and Happy Wednesday, my friends!!
This week’s mini-craft is inspired by the melty-goodness of Summer!!

This week’s card features two tiny mice enjoying giant popsicles!! I hope they don’t melt before the mice can finish them!!
I also love how this card has a pocket to close the card- what a cool way to keep it shut!
Let’s start with stamping the inside sentiment!
I used the Kaleidacolor “Calypso” rainbow to stamp the “Have a Happy Summer” inside!!
Let’s start by die-cutting out our popsicles!!
I like the red and green for this card- reminds me of watermelon flavors!!
Stamp your little mice on mouse-colored paper! I’ve chosen this heather grey cardstock- how cute!!
You’ll need to fussy-cut these guys out. It’s just fine to cut off their tails and re-draw them later!! Tiny tails are very difficult to cut out- save yourself the effort!
Taking our two background pieces- it’s time to make our cover!
Fully adhere the left side to the card base. Now, only adhere the area I’ve marked in the middle picture. You’ll want to ba careful to leave a half-inch or so on the right flap’s edge.
This lets you tuck the left side into the right side- creating that amazing pocket!!
Using a clear stamp-pad and clear embossing powder, ‘dip’ half of your popsicle!
Once you heat emboss this it will look glossy and ~melted~!!
It’s time to place our popsicles!!
Connect the sticks to our popsicle tops, and arrange one on each side of your card- its a tight fit, these are some Big Popsicles!
Make sure to leave a bit of room on either side for the little mice to sit and ‘hold’ their treat.
Now, for the final and Most Fun part- Glitter!!
Using Stickles “Star Dust” Glitter Gell, add a shine to the ‘melty’ side of the popsicles!!
I love to create big drips by adding a dollop and pulling the tip away slowly- making it look like a big glob of popsicle goodness is melting away!
And there you have it- A sweet and sparkly summertime card!!
