Hello friends!!
There are so Many amazing things to dress up as!! Last Halloween, Elli chose a different costume for the entire Hallo-Week!! One of her very favorites was being a Rainbow Sprinkle Ice Cream Cone!!
Its been so hot- why not dress as something Super Cool??

This grid will be a big help!! This was made by attaching 1” strips out of chipboard to create an equal-sized square pattern!! We are going to use this as a stencil to create our waffle cone!!
Grab your watercolor palate and spritz the brown/yellow colors you like!! Use a little sponge dauber to pick up the paint and dabble it over the open squares on the paper!!
Let’s shift the grid up so there’s another patch of paint-less squares!
We’ll do the same coloring method!! You’ll want to do this until there is a completely painted grid pattern!
Now when you pull the grid away you’ll see an amazing waffle pattern!!
Let’s cut this into a circle!! It looks like the top of a pie now!
We’ll measure about a quarter of the ‘pie’. It’s a pretty big slice!
Curl the paper around itself until you have a pointy cone! Adjust the paper until your desired pointiness! Sometimes a wider cone with big ribbon is lovely- or sometimes a thinner cone with thinner ribbon fits perfect!!
Now choose your ribbon!! We have ‘Vanilla’ ice cream ribbon in so many shapes! Wide and ruffled, Shimmery and sheer, thin and shiny! Pick your favorite!
Let’s use hot glue to start our ribbon curls! Before it dries you can add a bit of thinner ribbon or elastic to create a head-tie!
We’ll start curling the ribbon and securing it with hot glue! Wow those curls look like ice cream scoops!!
Now for my favorite part of ice cream- the SPRINKLES!!
We gathered the Entire Rainbow of paper scraps! You can choose your favorite colors- mine is All Of Them!!
We’ll use a big hole punch to pop out the sprinkles! Carefully use a bit of hot glue to attach the sprinkles to your ribbon!
I like a Lot of Sprinkles!!
Remember that slice of waffle pie we cut? We can make that into Another tiny waffle cone!!!
Two ice creams is better than one! Yum!
Yaay!! Now you have your very own Magical Cool Ice Cream Cone Hat!! That’s so Sweet!!
We’ll have these supplies set up at our Demo Zone all week!! This craft is so fun for ANYONE wanting to dress up and have some fun with an Ice Cream Cone Hat!!
