Card Class November 9th

Hello Friends!! Welcome to this week’s Card Making Class!! This week I wanted to make cards using some newer products and some older products! As always, I had a lot of fun making all these cards this week! Check them out!

For the first card, I used this Marble Stencil from Altenew as well as this Congratulations stamp from Impression Obsession! To get this effect on this card, I used Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink and my Blending brush across the Marble Stencil. The Distress Oxide Ink stays wet long enough to do heat embossing with the Detail Gold Embossin Powder. I LOVE the effect with the peek of blue ink behind the gold!! I finished off the card with some Gold Rick Rack

For the next card, I wanted to make a sweet Celebrate card that had a slight wintery feel. I LOVE ivory and gold for soft winter cards!! I used this Snowy Evergreen Embossing Folder from Memory Box. After I embossed it I applied the ink pad flat across the embossing folder to bring out the texture. I used Antique Linen Distress Ink for that! I also used this Celebrate Die Cut from Impression Obsession! To finish off the card I added this Vintage Gold Ribbon

This card could be used for Christmas, New Year’s, or add a couple deer die cuts to the front of the card and it could be an Anniversary Card!!

For the last card I wanted to make a card using this Tool Embossing Folder from Memory box. Once again, I used Black Soot Distress Ink and applied it ink pad side down along the texture of the embossing to bring out the texture. I also made a stencil to color the HAMMER part of the embossed image only. For the Screw Texture on either side of “This is Not a Drill” I used 2 screws from my tool box pressed into hot glue. Once the glue dried I brushed on Silver Mica Powder. The Happy Birthday Sentiment is from the Sizzix Sentiment Set. The “This is Not a Drill!” sentiment I printed it off the computer
