How to use a Score Board and making Rosettes!!
Hi Friends!! Today I wanted to share with you one of the most useful tools in Paper Crafting… A SCORE BOARD!!
Check out the video tutorial below:
Using a Score Board is one of the best and easiest ways to make a professional looking card. A score board is this tool that has grooves in it and a scoring tool that fits in the grooves.
When you have a card that you want to fold in half, by scoring the card ahead of time you end up folding on the fold line making the card nice and crisp and professional looking
The interesting part of the scoring process is that you put the groove INTO the paper but you actually fold DOWN. The reason why is a scoring tool actually stretches the paper so it DOESN’T CRACK when you fold it
You can use the score-board to also make ROSETTES!
To make a rosette, you’ll need to cut (2) pieces of card stock that measure 2” x 12”
Score the piece of papers every 1/2”
Accordion fold the pieces and hot glue the pieces together so they make an accordion-ring (see photos)
Press the accordion circle down and towards the center. Hold it in place while you apply hot glue to the middle
Use a circle punch to make a circle for the middle on the top and again on the bottom of the Rosette
Look how fun these are!!
Rosettes can be used for all sorts of fun ideas!! Make ornaments, holiday decor, or even gift wrapping!!!
