Making Boxes!!
I hope you are all having a WONDERFUL DAY!!!
This week for Demo, I wanted to share ideas with you about making BOXES!!
Check out the Video Demo below:
It is SO EASY to make a box!!
I like to use this light-weight chipboard for making my boxes. The chipboard is the same weight and thickness that you usually find Cereal Boxes are made out of.
TO MAKE A BOX:
Start out by cutting out 2 pieces of light weight chipboard. One of the pieces needs to be 1/16” SMALLER on 2 sides.
Using a Score-Board, make “Score Lines” at the 1” Mark on ALL 4 SIDES of each piece of light weight chipboard.
With a pair of scissors, trim little “tabs” into each corner of the chipboard as shown below:
Then, fold in all 4 sides of each of the chipboard pieces and glue/tape the tabs into place:
Check out this fun box which is great for storage, gifts, or just for fun!!!
Check out this idea using decorative paper for the the top piece!! I love this fun sheer ribbon to go with it!!
For this box, I made a top and bottom using the same piece of double-sided card stock. I used the die cut machine to die-cut a circle in the front of the little box and a piece of Acetate to make a little window!
Check out this idea using the same concept of the little window, but I made it Easter themed by adding the little bunny on the front of the box and added raffia and little chocolates on the inside!!
You can also add a bit of sheer ribbon to make a really soft effect and finish off the little box with a bit of natural twine!
There are so many fun ideas when it comes to making boxes!!
