Magical Winter Fairy House Make and Take

Hello and welcome to this weeks Demo!!

Hope you’ve been enjoying the winter so far, we know the fairies have been! Let’s make a Magical Winter Fairy House!!

Watch the video here:

The base of our paper fairy house will be a piece of Kraft-tone cardstock! While we have some cut out, the most important part of this paper is that it is taller than it is wide- that way it rolls into a tower shape!

We’ll take our inkpad and lightly brush it across the paper! We’re going for a woodgrain effect, so keeping mostly straight lines while you swipe the ink on will give it a wooden texture!

Let that dry just a bit and make the roof in the meantime!!

We’ll take our favorite color and a circle diecut- run it through the machine and create a perfect circle!!

Take out a quarter of the pie, so that you have a ‘PacMan’ shape! Curve the semi-circle until the ends meet to create a cone shape! A bit of hotglue or doublesided tape will help hold that in place!

One of the Cutest parts of a fairy house is the dangling magical bits!! We could hang a star or snowflake or anything else magical!

We’ll simply take some twine and attach our magical bit to the end of it!!

Now, let’s attach our house! Using some hot glue or double-sided tape, curl the tower and attach to create a cylinder!

Now, using hot glue, we’ll make a ring around the inside of the roof! Lay the twine of the dangling bit in the glue and press the roof on top of the house!!

Now that your fairy house is assembled, it’s time to decorate!! Let’s create a door out of wood texture paper!

We can create windows with Mirror-Card and Glaze gel pens!! Circle windows, square windows, even triangle windows!!

You can also add snowflakes, stars, and Glitter Snow!!

There you have your very own Winter Fairy House!! Perfectly magical and glitterific- fit for any fairy friend!!

What a magical thing you have created!!
