Family of Fish Card Craft

Hello!! Swim on by and make something super fun with us!

Let’s create a family of fish swimming through to bring some joy to someone you love!

Follow along in our video here:

We’ll start with gathering everything we’ll need! A card base, shimmer ribbon, vellum, and embellishments!

We have so many colors to create our fish out of!! Once you’ve chosen all the colors of your fishies, run the fish die cut through the die machine! You can run both a cardstock and text weight at the same time and get double the fish!

Using a small hole punch, punch circles out of silver paper! We can use these as bubbles!!

Let’s create the front of our card!!

Using double sided tape, adhere the shimmer ribbon to a strip of silver paper! Trim off the excess and attach to the edge of the front of your card! We can use a few more fish to adhere the shimmer ribbon with some glued on fish!

We can even add a banner to the the front of the card for a sentiment, or simply diecut a “Congratulations” out!!

Now we can create the river for the fish to swim on!

Attach a matching textweight piece to the inside of the card! Only use double sided tape on the very edges! We will cut through both pieces and now we have a pocket on either side!!

Slide the vellum strip in and suddenly we have a stream for our fish to swim through!!

We can even create a little party hat or graduation cap!

Now you’ve created your very own Family of Fish card to bring some joy to someone’s day!!

I love how the fish look against the river when the sun shines through it!!

Thanks for creating something fun today!!

This craft is so fun for artists of any age, for any occasion!

Happy crafting, my creative friends!!
