Check out the fun cards we made at class!!!
For these cards, I wanted so show how you could use a couple die cuts in a few ways!! I used the Seaside Hello from Memory Box and the Whittle Crabs from Poppy
The first card was made using SAND PAPER Cut into little sand dunes. I added a little bit of Walnut Stain distress ink to one layer of the sand paper and hot glue to adhere the sand paper layers together.
I applied a yellow ink (from a Distress Oxide Wild Honey Ink pad) to the circle die cut and Ripe Persimmon Oxide ink for doing the ombre sky on the orange patterned paper!! (I recommend using the Picket Fence Blending Brushes but you can use a paper towel tapped on your ink pad and buffed into the paper to create a similar effect!)
We added the Whittle Crabs from Poppy to make the card kinda cute and fun and the Hello die cut from Poppy for the sentiment!!
I LOVE how this card turned out!! I wanted to show how you can create the ombre effect by using a darker shade of the ink on the top part of the patterned paper to make it tone-on-tone effect
I also LOVE the textured feel of the sand paper on this card!
The next card featured this fun Trailer Paper!! (It is SO CUTE!!)
To make this fun-fold card, I cut a piece of white card stock to the dimensions 4 1/4” x 11” . I scored it at the 2 3/4” mark from both the left and right side. Then I cut a diagonal piece off of both the left and right panel
Then, I wanted to share you can MAKE YOUR OWN CLOUD STENCIL by gluing together 4 small little circles!!
I used the Picket Fence Blending brushes and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to create the fun cloud sky!!
I am SO HAPPY with how sweet and light-hearted this card is!! I added in little dot groupings and a ribbon to finish off this fun card..
The last card we made used the BACK SIDE of this Chicken Paper!! I wanted to show you can also use it for and Ocean-Themed card with other Ocean-themed papers from Graphic 45
We took a piece of the chicken wire paper and made it Netting!! I cut it apart along the pattern and made “Bubbles” by using 2 different sizes of hole punch!!
I called this the Sepia Ocean card because it is all mono-chomatic!!
And I love cutting a small piece of the “netting” with an x-acto knife and slid the Whittle Crab claw in and glued it in place!! You can add a pop dot behind the crabs to give dimension :-)
Card making class is REALLY FUN!!!
