The new Lawn Fawn release has inspired this Adorable Summer “Take it Slow” Sloth card!!
Take a peek and learn this color-changing technique!
Check out the video below:
Thanks for joining us on this wonderful day for crafting!
This card was inspired by the new Lawn Fawn release- especially the little summertime relaxing critters!
This technique could be used with any other design!
This card is extra fun because you can create Two scenes from one card!! The pull-out scene reveals another hidden panel!
You could create a whole new adventure for this sloth to have! Or leave it blank for the recipient to fill in!
We’ll start by taking a paper the size of the front of our card- color in the stencil and die cut a frame!
Use chipboard to elevate the frame and place vellum between the frame and the front- now there is a pocket!
Take your sloth and stamp it onto a scrap of paper, fussy cut it, and use it as a mask to stamp the innerube! By masking the sloth you get the illusion that they’re floating on top!
Here’s where it gets tricky! You’ll want to exactly align the sloth stamped onto the vellum and the sloth on the pull-tab!
Now that you’ve successfully stamped your friendly sloths it’s time to color in the pull-tab scene! We went with a big Lazy Lake for our sloth to enjoy!
Where else can you imagine this friend floating around?
We hope you had fun making this simple and adorable card with us!!
Try using this technique in different ways! Can you imagine a gardening scene that pulls the tab up to reveal the veggies? What about a rainy day that changes into sunshine?
You could do anything!!
Happy crafting, my creative friends~!!
