Blending Techniques
Distress Ink, Picket Fence Blending Brushes
I used the Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, and Chipped Sapphire Distress Inks for making the layered Wave Card. However, when I started my Picket Fence Blending Brush still had some of the Peacock Feathers ink on it which created the green-blue effect you are seeing in the wave card above
Stencil Paste Ideas
Dreamweaver Stencil Paste with Liquid Watercolors and Colorburst, Crystal Drops as Stencil Paste, PVA/Deluxe Adhesive as Stencil Paste
For the above image, I used these AMAZING Altenew Liquid Watercolors. I used the Citrus Burst and Sunkissed colors mixed in with the Dreamweaver Stencil Paste
You can also use PVA/ Deluxe adhesive as a Stencil Paste!! LET IT DRY 24 hours then you can use a multi-colored ink pad with your Picket Fence Blending Brushes to apply a soft layer of ink. The glue acts as a resist. Use a paper towel to wipe away and remove the ink that stuck to the glue.
Stencils and Black Paper
Embossing Powder, Crystal Drops, Oxide Inks
To create the effect above, I used the Picket Fence Blending Brushes with the Versamark Ink pad. I used one layering stencil at at time so the embossing powder only stuck to the ink I applied. Between each stencil I applied the embossing powder and heat set it. For the Pinecones I used the Kaleidascope Embossing powder and for the Pine Needles I used the Detail Gold embossing powder.
When working on black card stock, you can use your Picket Fence Blending Brushes and Oxide Inks to do your stenciling! The colors are more muted, so be aware of that. I did more stenciling of the pinecones on another piece of black card stock and then fussy-cut the pinecones and used a pop-dot to adhere the pinecones to the card right on top of the knot from the twine.
Also, your Crystal Drops look AMAZING on black paper!! Squirt some of the medium onto a Silicone Media Spatula to smear it across your stencil. Use the Crystal drops to add little dots!!
